Kawsar Chowdhury (affectionately known as his brand’s namesake, “KC”), is a Maker/Designer of bespoke one-of-a-kind furniture, interior furnishings, fixtures, and fittings.
He has an independent privately owned furniture designing and manufacturing business for over 20 years, which has provided unique, ground-breaking design and build services for custom furniture and accessories in the local Bangladeshi market, to great acclaim, and has had a fervent following from the local connoisseurs and aficionados of the arts, local design and architectural industries, real estate and hospitality players.
All the furniture produced by KC use both wood and mixed materials, and go into the manufacturing of case goods, occasional themed and seasonal pieces and collections, “show-stopping” one-of-kind statement pieces, and of course innovative seating and upholstery materials (leathers, fabrics such as velvet, techniques such as weaving, embroidery, appliqué and much more).
Furniture produced by KC have been for both interiors of spaces as well as outdoor furniture, furnishings and fittings too.

Rafiq has lived in Asia and East Africa, and additionally to his role at KCDI, he heads a highly successful architectural and visual signage firm in New York, which boasts an A-List blue chip client base mainly drawn

Moshfeque Rizvi (known as “Rizvi”), educated in law at Oxford University, UK and qualified as a barrister (attorney) but is unregistered and non-practising, had a keen interest
in design from an early age, having excelled at Design & Technology GCSE at The City of London School. He has board level experience at financial institutions mainly in Bangladesh. His interdisciplinary background allows him to take both a macro and in-depth view of KCDI operations, policy and strategy for sustained growth and the pursuit of excellence in KCDI’s products and services. Having exposure to both western and emerging markets, he is well-poised to spearhead KCDI’s global footprint ambitions.
